For Sale is my lovely 1983 Series 3 Land Rover SWB Station Wagon.
I bought the vehicle only a few months ago for weekend fun and tinkering but I'm afraid it's a luxury that has to go. She has the 2.25 litre 4 cylinder petrol engine and has covered just over 75,000 miles. She starts well but I fitted a new alternator and battery anyway in anticipation of a cold winter and sitting on the drive five days a week. She starts fine, every time on a manual choke.
The bulkhead and chassis are very sound and the truck has obviously been waxoyled in the past. There are two excellent quality seats in the front and three very good quality "dickie" seats in the back, 2 with lap straps. The cab is fitted with the original carpets which are in excellent condition and padded door cards and dash.
The vehicle comes with loads of history and receipts and the complete and original Parts Catalogue and Optional Equipment Catalogue, both of which are excellent reads for the enthusiast.
MOT until October 2012. Road Tax until June 2012. She's ready to drive away!
I managed to source a set of limestone steel rims and 750/16 tyres so the Landy looks the business. I'll be really sorry to see her go but the money is needed elsewhere.
