We have owned this disco since the begining of last year and it has been used as a back up vehicle we have only put about 2000 miles on it. Selling due to purchase of landcruiser The last previous owner had it for 6 year and used it at weekends when he went to the lakes walking. Has been stored in our unit so not been stood about Ideal for wintry conditions Engine is the trusty 300TDI - Parts are cheap & can be fixed mechanically without the need of being plugged into a computer and it telling whats wrong! Mileage is 151k not had a hard life off roading / working as can see in pictures very clean bodywork few scratches nothing major. 3 years and is being used as a second vehicle. It starts first time every time and drives well for a landy. I bought the Landy from a Farm where it spent the last few years being used as a work horse so was in daily use. | I had it MOT`d in mid October where it sailed through apart from needing a new fuel tank and a few other minor bits and bobs. I recently had the chassis checked and repaired where needed, so no worries about the chassis falling apart on this Landy. The Road Tax has expired so I have registered it as SORN. The Landy has covered 209800 miles with FLRSH up until 135K, since owing the Landy I have serviced it myself. As mentioned, it runs well and is reliable, last year I used it for over a month on a daily run of around 100 miles and it never missed a beat. It has all the normal dents, scratches and worn seats etc as you can see from the photos and what would be expected from living on a farm. I replaced the rear door last year as the old one was knackered, unfortunately the colour differs slightly and I still need to fit the checker plate on to the inside of the door. Also I have bought new keys and barrels for the doors as I lost the door key but again have not had time to fit them. Obviously I have the ignition key! There is some rust on the front doors, just along the bottom edge which would be easy to repair if needed. New battery fitted last month30+ MPG Tow bar with ball and pin fitting. truck at the start of December in the hope that my wife would drive it as well and we could reduce our vechiles, she won`t drive it and it is hence for sale. Don`t be put off, it really is a tidy one. | It has plenty of service history and past bills etc, they show that the air bags have been changed and a new compressor fitted. It has not wanted for much and it shows. The interior is cream leather, no rips, heated seats, electric windows, cruise control etc etc | The body work looks great for an old truck, hasn`t been abused or used off road, has a private plate which make it stand out a bit, no rust or bubbling. | Manual so better MPG, also 15 years old so can be insured through classic car policy. | The passenger window needs a little encouragement to go back up, sometimes you need to `wiggle` the key when you remove it or the truck still thinks its in. The EAS air suspension will work fine for a few weeks but every now and then it will flash up EAS error on the dash. When this happens the car doesn`t drop, doesn`t handle any differently you just can`t lower or raise the truck. When you pull over and turn the car off, wait 5 minutes and then start again it all works fine. The local garage can`t find anything wrong. (Its just a personality of the truck!) | Feel free to come and have a look at the truck. 2010. I am selling this vehicle as my Overfinch P38 which died back in 2010 has finally been fixed and this was a temporary replacement and as I already have 2 other classics it is no longer needed. Reluctant sale as I have been told I can`t have everything and we could do with the space. | Whenever I purchase a vehicle I go through them mechanically to make sure everything is ok. As the engine had done 126,000 miles back in Oct 2010 when I bought it, I decided to rebuild the top end of the engine as the camshafts suffer badly with wear. | The engine was stripped down, camshaft replaced with a new performance cyclone camshaft, new cam followers, Cloyes street true roller speed set timing chain and sprockets. | The heads were stripped, cleaned and checked for warping, reassembled and refitted. The bores were also checked for wear and all was ok, all other components were cleaned before reassembly. | Compression test was at an average of 145psi. New genuine cap, 8mm silicone leads from Real Steel and genuine rotor arm fitted. | At the moment there is a mallory electronic distributor fitted with mallory coil and ballast resistor fitted. PLEASE NOTE: these will be removed and replaced with original landrover parts if vehicle does not make the full asking price or very near to it. | Car runs smoothly and is a pleasure to drive, very smooth on the air suspension, engine has plenty of torque, | New lambda sensors and coolant sensor fitted in November 2010. All air springs have been replaced with new. | The suspension works without fault, abs all works fine, air con works could do with topping up. Central locking all works fine. | Leather seats, sunroof, original radio, alarm, after market speakers, standard sub in boot, dog guard and tow bar with electrics. | All tyres have plenty of tread they are all terrains on original coloured coded LSE wheels. | The vehicle is 19 years old so it is not by any means pristine but it is not your typical classic rot box. Chassis is fine. Also has an aluminium upper tailgate.
