APPARENTLY THIS CAN HAPPEN WHEN THE SENSORS ON THE WHEELS GETS CLOGGED WITH DIRT OR BREAK ETC. I HAVE SINCE REPLACED THE SENSOR (CHECK MY FEEDBACK AND YOU WILL SEE THE PART PURCHASED) BUT THE THREE LIGHTS STILL PERSIST. THE CAR STILL DRIVES SPOT ON BUT NOW WHILE THE LIGHTS REMAIN ON THERE IS NO HILL DECENT, TRACTION CONTROL OR ABS, YOU STILL HAVE NORMAL BRAKING / DRIVING THOUGH. I ASSUME THE LIGHTS NEED TO BE RESET AFTER THE SENSOR CHANGE. IF I NEEDED THE CAR I WOULD HAVE IT SORTED BUT I ALREADY HAVE TWO OTHERS ONE OF WHICH IS MY RANGE ROVER VOGUE SO THE FREELANDER IS NO LONGER REQUIRED HENCE WHY IT IS UP FOR GRABS. STUNNING CAR AND WELL WORTH THE ASKING PRICE EVEN WITH ITS SMALL ISSUE. not one of the high bracket £260 for 12 months, in K, I think. | Very clean car as you would expect from a car with under 15`000 miles on the clock, it drives very well, less like a 4x4 and more like a big car and it feels unused. | This car is as described and it is in very very good condition, with no issues whatsoever mechanically sound, ready to drive with everything working, no warning lights are on, no faults at all, I welcome any inspection, please bring your mechanic with you if you want, you will not find a better Freelander for this kind of money, you can look but it will not be there, I know I did. | This Land Rover has genuine 14’336 miles; yes I’m saying fourteen thousand not a hundred and fourteen. It was originally purchased from Armstrong Massey Land Rover Centre in York and it was serviced and MOT each year at Armstrong Massey both done at the same time and MOT’s all of this shows on line on DVLA or VOSA, showing the same mileage as the service book stamped by Armstrong Massey. | I purchased for my wife (Oct last year) after looking at quite a few before I found this MINT condition one with stupid low milage. It is as clean as you are going to find unless you go to a show room and buy a new one, only selling it as our situation changed and we have the need for more seats, some weekends we need 6 seats and pram so we now have a Touran, otherwise there is no way would I sell this, it took ages to find and is like a new car and I don`t really want to lose loads of money. | Fuel Eco is really very good for a 4X4 on a run you can expect high 38 - 43 mpg depending how you drive of course. | When you sit in it you can feel the seats are very firm not used which is really nice and the rear seats have only been sat on a handful of times and I would say not at all before we owned the car, all the carpets look like new and are covered by thick branded Land Rover mats, steering wheel no signs of wear at all. | ANY SIGNS OF USE OR WEAR ? Not really but of course it has been used so to be 100% honest and not waste anybody`s time - The drivers internal door handle trim / cover plastic is the only other sign of wear, it is marked slightly where the colour has been rubbed off by the previous owner I think it must have been holding keys or rings that marked the handle worn rings or held keys while opening, its nothing bad and I dare say most people would not mention it. The handle cover plate can be found on this site new for £20 or at least they where on here. When we got car it was on its original steel rims, I sourced 5 Land Rover Alloys and tyres and I refurbished them properly, so there is a complete set of 5 steels with near enough new tyres on which could be included. The only other to mention is the alloys I have put on have different brand tyres at the rear and that would be the only thing you can find to mention about the car if looking to find an issue, but lets face it, it is not an issue they are legal and safe. | V5 is Present with all MOT’s and service book, Taxed and MOT, the car is in my wife’s name; I had it serviced as soon as we got the car that was at 11’806 miles even though it had only done less than 2 thousand miles since the last service at Armstrong Massey, my mechanic returned the new air filter still in it’s box (will be included) and said the old one in there is still as new! I still made sure he changed Fuel filter, Oil filter and oil, checked both diff oils and transfer box, change the pollen filter although again he said your wasting money the old pollen filter was new. It was mot`d in Feb so it nearly has a full year left on it. The only bad point about the car is that it will need new rubber mounts on the propshaft as there is a slight judder when turning a corner on full lock, I have been quoted at around £200 to get this fixed. And the srs light currently stays on, this has never really bother me but again I have been told it is a quick and inexpensive fix. Please note that this is a common problem with lots of Freelanders, and as a cost effective alternative to an expensive repair this seems to be more and more of a common practice. My mate works as a tech for Land Rover and has fitted a new rear diff mount and exhaust back box and serviced it including new gearbox and I.R.D oil as he was planning on keeping it.
