The commanding driving position gives an excellent view of the road and the 2 litre diesel BMW engine provides plenty of pulling power and gives an excellent return of around 35MPG, which is extremely competitive for a four wheel drive vehicle. The automatic gearbox is smooth and selects all the gears correctly. I can’t stress how well this Freelander drives and find it hard to imagine a better example at this price.
