The tyres are all in good condition and it has 11 months MOT and 6 months tax. There is a dint on the back left hand side (see picture) where I misjudged the placement of a skip and there are a few scratches here and there to be expected of a car this age. There is also a small chip in the windscreen which has been there since I bought it and has never affected the MOT. Selling my lovely Discovery, had it for a year with no trouble whatsoever, but due to a change in circumstances it`s got to go. Full service only 1000...>

miles ago (replaced rear brake discs, pads and shoes), no faults to report, everything works and is in good order, even the tyres have plenty of wear left in them.Fantastic motorway car, brilliant, very capable and comfortable family car, and the only place to be in bad weather. Can`t praise it enough - dealt brilliantly with the big freeze last year and made great use of the diesel preheater, heated windscreen and especially the heated seats! This one also has sat nav and the upgraded HK stereo with bluetooth and voice dialling.As I said there are no faults to report anywhere on the car, and cosmetically it`s near-perfect too - the only thing I can find is a small food mark on the rear seat.I had a genuine LR tow bar with single electrics fitted, but I`ve never used it, so I suspect the car has never towed at all. It also has wind deflectors on the front doors, which work fine but are easy to remove anyway (fitted by a previous owner). X

van. I have been using the Disco as a work vehicle each day, but also as a family car at the weekends. It is clean and tidy (RUST FREE) as seen in the photo`s. I have had about 4 of these before, (all over 130k miles) and this is the best. The air suspension and climate control (air con) all work exactly as they should, there is a geuine landrover towbar fitted. Twin sunroofs (no leaks so far) and full length roof rails with cross bars included. The rear boot space has the 2 covered lockers, instead of the child seats, which are great for hiding tools and things. Colour coded front bumper has factory fitted fog lights and the alloys are in good shape. Side steps fitted.There is no slack or clonking from the transmission, in any gear or in low range. Vehicle has been used regularly in low range, and the hill descent and traction control are all working correctly. Uses no oil. Recent service with all filters. Water pump replaced last year. This vehicle does not drive like a 139k landrover.4 new all terrain tyres wre fitted in December. Only niggle is the edge of the drivers seat has a worn patch, but I have H/duty covers on the front anyway. The car is now surplus to requirements, so must be sold. but as u can see from the pics it has a brand new set of tyres for the winter, this landy has been lucky and avoided the rust worm even the rear floor is rust free and original. the head-gasket was done at 155000 and all belts plus the water pump was changed at the same time, the running gear is good and all work as they should with no knocks or noises or grinding in to gear as landys often do... BAD BITS.. the rear sunroof is sealed as it sometimes drips, central locking does not work but will lock with the key manually,both rear windows stopped working and there is a very small oil leak please remember this is an old landy so has all the average small scratches, cash on collection only please and please message me if you have any questions thankyou. With a light foot, it’s also quite respectable on fuel. The Car is being used as an occasional second Car, which is far better than it being laid-up my brothers Barn, which was such a waste. | It should be noted, that having recently spent much money on it, I’m in no rush to sell it. I’m prepared to let it go for much less, as it does require a few bits of work doing to it. | If I was keeping it, I would have the bits of work it needs doing to it done, as it’s had so much money & time spent on it over the last few years, it would be an investment | Approximately 14 months ago, the Truck had close to £2000 spent on it, which included welding & rust proofing, new Tyres, New BOSAL Exhaust down pipes, New brake callipers, New brake Discs, Gearbox Filter/Oil change, Rear Diff fluid oil change | . The AVON tyres on the Car have done less than 2000 miles since being replaced, at significant cost. | The Truck does have some faults, and these include the following: (This is why the Truck is NOT being advertised for £2995.00!) – So DO NOT expect this truck to be in anywhere near perfect order! | Leaky twin sunroofs (which do not work), which have been patched up, but really require a permanent fix. Inside she has touch screen sat nav, voice activated logic 7 stereo system, electronic memory heated front seats and heated rear seats. She is in Buckingham blue metallic with cream leather upholstry, which as you can see is in tip top condition. We had the car paintwork scotchguarded with autoglym protection so she looks lovely and shiny with a wash and no elbow grease! We are the cars second owners and have owned the car since september 2007. This is a really sad sale for me, I love this car but work commitments mean since the mot in October when the mileage was 94219 until today when the mileage is 95109 I have used her very little - she just goes out for a run to keep her hand in. Sadly we have come to the conclusion that it would be better to sell her than to let her just sit. The car is very reliable and a pleasure to drive, she had a a new alternator and battery recently. We have just had the car valeted, which we have always done periodically. The car has not had a hard life and has been well cared for. it for the last 18 months and know the previous 2 keepers, so have knowledge of the vehicle for the last 7 years. It was in regular everyday use until a week ago. A change in family circumstances means I now require a seven seater, and I have gone (some would say to the dark side) and acquired a TD5. This Disco is one of the last 300tdi`s and has covered just over 148000 miles. It has a full service history from new which is detailed in the accompanying service book and various receipts. It was last serviced approx 2000 miles ago but has been subject to ongoing maintenance as and when required (it has just had a new lift pump and a set of heater plugs). A new set of rear brake calipers and pads were also recenty fitted; it does need rear discs but I have not yet got around to fitting them - a new pair is included in the sale. Unlike a lot of Discovery`s of its age, this one has mint sills, boot floor, and inner wings, and has never been welded in these areas - due to regular Waxoyl. It has side steps, roof bars (inc cross bars), a rear access ladder and a full set of genuine rubber mats (inc in the boot). It also has a genuine dog guard fitted which slides out of its brackets when not needed. A Clarion radio/CD is installed which has remote control and inputs for USB and MP3/iPod. The vehicle has had the EGR and the catalytic converter removed - this does not affect the MOT. It has four matching Lassa all-terrain tyres which all have 8mm of tread. The spare is a Goodyear Wrangler which has approx 4mm of tread. The paintwork has a number of scratches commensurate with its age, but scrubs up well when cleaned. Unfortunately I have been unable to wash the vehicle (everything is frozen!) so it does not look its best in the pictures. The interior is clean however. The vehicle is on SORN because I transferred the insurance on to the new Disco. Viewing welcome. Any questions, please ask. X

When you get a good one of these, they are good. However get a bad one and you can only imagine how bad they can be (speaking from experience here). The 7 seats are useful for children and friends and it has a towbar if you need it. Remember last winter? Don`t get caught out this year...buy early before the prices of 4x4`s rise. | SPECIFICATION: | It has top of the range ES spec with four electric windows (drivers one touch) AND ALL WORKING (this is rare), full leather interior, 6 disc autochanger radio/cassette, factory front fog lights, electric mirrors, front electric seats, central locking remote alarm and immobiliser, p/steering, cruise control, air-conditioning (working), factory fitted side steps/bars, 4 speed automatic gearbox with sports/economy option, adjustable seat belt heights, automatic dipping rear view mirror, ABS, twin electric glass sunroofs with 4 separate blinds, windscreen top tint, rear wash wipe, Heated rear window, heated front screen (rare), twin front airbags and roof bars top off this spec. | BODYWORK: This is presentable condition. There is no corrosion or dents but it could do with a T-cut to bring it up to scratch. It is a work horse and rarely gets washed. It`s not going to impress the neighbours but its solid. It is metallic dark Oxford blue which is the best colour in my opinion. It looks Black in low light and sparkles blue in sunlight! | INTERIOR: This has light grey leather (all seven). The two front seats have electric adjustment and lumbar adjustment also. Front arm rests The rear seats can fold down. It has rear belts. It has had a wood dash conversion also. there is a very slight scratch down the drivers side which is difficult to see. | STEREO: It has a CD radio stereo with a 6 disc autochanger under the drivers seat. It comes with its original handbook and wallet. There are six speakers and are good quality with a rich sound. | ENGINE AND MECHANICALS: The 2.5 TDi is the best of the range. The engine is quiet, does not smoke, starts first time and enough power to exceed the national speed limits without straining even with 5-people and towing …it should be good for several thousand more. It has had a new cambelt and kit along with a full service 10,000mls ago. It has had a recent oil and filters change 3000mls ago. It makes for a very practical and economic family car/ workhorse/ prestige best car. This is average mileage for the year and I`ve seen these reach 300,000 with regular servicing. | OTHERS. Brakes and exhaust are in good condition and the battery is a recent replacement. | WHEELS AND TYRES: It has 16 inch 5 spoke genuine wheels in fair condition. The tyres are all matching good quality 225/70 x 16. They all have at least 6-8mm of tread and the spare is good as they were only fitted new a year ago. I have recently bought a genuine jack, extension bar and wheel brace as these were missing (as usual). | LEGALS: I have the V5 (logbook) in my name. The MOT is till 7th April 2012. It is a short MOT but thats why its not £2500! Comes also with a proper handbook and wallet. Vehicle road tax has just expired. It has just been sorned. I can tax it at the buyers expense if required. It has Service history up to 130000 and I have serviced it since meticulously. | DAMAGE/FAULTS: | The engine bay could do with a jet wash, the interior valeting. Electric seats have both stopped working so I`m guessing it is a fuse but as its set for me I have not bothered to look. The brakes occasionally need more pressing than normal, I went to a garage and they said its probably a vacuum leak, nothing more serious as its not all the time. The sunroofs are sealed to stop the usual leaking. These are all normal minor faults on a discovery of this year, its just normally people will not bother mentioning them. I would rather be honest. | Last year for the MOT it had to have a new subframe, both full sills and some welding. This cost me £1300 and then I had 4 new tyres fitted at a cost of £300 also. I did not mind as it has cost me next to nothing in 12 years of ownership. So I dont forsee it failing the MOT this time around. | IT IS A GENUINE GOOD EXAMPLE YOU WOULD HAVE DIFFICULTY FINDING A BETTER ONE MECHANICALLY ON THIS YEAR AND SPEC. the vat sorry we cant. Up for sale is the firms Landrover Discovery 300TDI 96 `N` Reg. We have owned this disco since the begining of last year and it has been used as a back up vehicle we have only put about 2000 miles on it. Selling due to purchase of landcruiser The last previous owner had it for 6 year and used it at weekends when he went to the lakes walking. Has been stored in our unit so not been stood about Ideal for wintry conditions Engine is the trusty 300TDI - Parts are cheap & can be fixed mechanically without the need of being plugged into a computer and it telling whats wrong! Mileage is 151k not had a hard life off roading / working as can see in pictures very clean bodywork few scratches nothing major. Comes with MOT til March 2012 & Taxed till end of March 2012 Car has electric windows locking etc. Tyres good. Heaters work. Engine runs fine and gear boxs / clutch is sound. Work wise as soon as we got we did a full service at local garage had a few jobs to make right UJ joints and Headgasket, about 3 months ago there was no reverse so we had put in a recon gearbox and a brand new clutch while it was in there. Had a new battery when we got also. Previous owner wax - oiled it, if buyer is planning on keeping for a while might be worth getting it wax oiled not hard / dear to do. If a wheel starts to spin, ETC sends braking pulses to slow it down, improving its grip and boosting the torque applied to the opposite wheel to reduce vehicle speed. Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) Dynamic Stability Control improves the vehicle’s handling during acceleration or cornering. It also helps compensate for vehicle handling when towing a trailer. By constantly monitoring the wheels, it detects any deviation from the chosen line and immediately corrects it by applying braking to appropriate wheels. Roll Stability Control (RSC) Roll Stability Control works in conjunction with Dynamic Stability Control to help prevent vehicle roll-over. If the system senses that the vehicle is in danger of tipping, it will reduce engine power and use the ABS system to reduce the chance of roll-over.
